The cybersecurity championship for the Golden State, which took place October 2 - 4, 2020. Student teams competed to respond to a fictional storyline called Mission Alenium, about a hacked satellite that fell to Earth.

They engaged in multiple hands-on, space-themed set designs to solve the cyber mystery of how the satellite was attacked. On Saturday, October 3rd, 78 teams of California middle school and high school students competed in either the “Intermediate” or “Difficult” divisions and worked on the AWS 3D Sumerian and Discord platforms to collect evidence and solve the satellite cybercrime. Each set represented a location of importance to the characters and organizations involved in the storyline.
