California Cyber Innovation Challenge

Gamification and Esports for Space and Cybersecurity Skills Development

The plot for this year's competition is based on a satellite hacking scenario that involves the breach of a network of 5,000 CubeSats that collectively provide internet access to over 200 million commercial customers and government agencies.

Event Discord Server

The virtual event will be held on Discord where student teams can work together during the competition, and event attendees and spectators can interact.

Live Event Broadcast

For the first time ever, the CCIC will be broadcast live as an Esports event on Twitch. Tune in for the competition at 1:30pm PT on October 2nd as we follow the competitors' progress and hear insider insights from security experts and event guests.

Register a Team

Teams must be registered by one coach, and all students must be attending a middle or high school within the state of California during the dates of the competition.




This year, there will be an international division brought to you by the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) for Victorian, Australian high schools.
